The Travel Sale Fair opened its doors to visitors last October 11-13, 2019 at the World Trade Center Hall A-C. It is now on its fifth consecutive year and follows the original format of combining the travel fair alongside the Trendsetter’s Bazaar.

What began as a small independently organized event is now a trendsetter, with its unique take on trade fairs. Being the first to combine the travel and fashion sector, the show also markets itself to multiple generations, offering premium and budget travel tiers. As such, Travel Sale Fair consistently brings in high numbers in both exhibitor count and foot traffic.

Travel Sale Fair reaches a milestone

“To be able to reach this hallmark five year anniversary is quite remarkable for us. As we did not have affiliations with any single association, we had flexibility to take risks. It was daunting at first, but our decisions have all proved fruitful in the end.  Today, young travellers of the millennial generation represent 20% of international travelers and by 2020, 320Million international trips are expected to be made by youth travellers- that’s a staggering 47% increase from only 5 years ago.  So I can’t help but feel that we are on the right track,” said Marketing Director, Nicole Go-Cedenio.  She also thanked long-time supporters Citibank, Philippine Airlines, Air Asia, Trafalgar and Two Seasons and also welcomed new additions to the show- Royal Brunei Airlines, Marriot, Conrad and Uniorient during the event’s opening ceremonies.

Others also present during the ceremony include DOT Undersecretary for Legal and Chief of Staff Atty. Edwin Enrile; Province of Bohol Governor Arthur C. Yap; Sangguniang Panlalawigan Tourism Committee Chairwoman Jone Jade Bautista, DOT Region 5 Director Mr. Benjamin Santiago, Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto’s COS Mr. Peter Pardo; Pasay City Councilor of District II Hon. Joey Calixto Isidro; Cagayan Economic Zone Authority’s Police Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr.; Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce Inc.’s Mr. Delfin Letran; Philippine Airlines’ Ms. Lorraine Laborte and Ms. Pinky Custodio and Air Asia’s Ms. Grace Cipriano.

Additionally, the Travel Sale Fair also had Kathryn Bernardo on October 12 in an interactive event hosted by the Trendsetter Team at the stage area. With more and more youths traveling, it is no wonder this annual show is one of the most highly anticipated show for the year. It is also the last big travel expo in Manila before the next calendar year.

Show organizers also announced as early as now, the official show date for 2020, which will be on October 9-11, 2020 at the World Trade Center.

Pocket Mall Edition April 26-28, 2019

April 26-28, 2019

This April, organizers bring the show to SM Megamall for the first ever Pocket Mall Edition of the Travel Sale Fair.

The pocket mall edition will be held on April 26-28, 2019 at Megatrade Hall 2, 5th Level SM Megamall B and will once again be held alongside the Trendsetter's Bazaar.

Being a mid-year event, visitors can expect to plan their travels for the remainder of the summer, or the next round of holidays in August and Christmas brea, thanks to promo flights from Air Asia.  Resorts and leisure companies are also offering discounted group packages for barkada getaways and company outings.

"Because we brought the mall edition forward to April we also wanted to make the show very accessible to the public considering it's the peak of summer.  That way they can also enjoy the rest of their day strolling around the mall.  People no longer just want to shop anymore, or just book a flight online, or make a call to their travel agent.  They want a more diverse experience with several options and the Travel Sale Fair Pocket Mall Edition does just the job. There are discounts offered only during the show which consumers aren't able to book online" says show organizer, Nicole Go-Cedenio.

The show is co-presented by Citibank and is open from 11am-9pm.

April 21-23, 2018

CEBU, The Travel Sale Fair has officially launched its first show in Cebu City last April 20-22, 2018 at SM City Cebu Trade Hall.  Due to the success of the show over the past 4 years, organizers decided to bring the show to the Queen City of the South. Nicole Go-Cedenio, Marketing Director of the show states: “It has always been our objective with each year, to grow the show. Since maxing out capacity in Manila, it was natural for us to branch out to a different location. Without a doubt Cebu came to mind. Being the central hub for not only commerce, but tourism as well, Cebu serves as a jump off point to many local destinations as well as international ones. Many of our exhibitors also came from the Visayas and Mindanao region so we thought it would be nice to bring the show to them instead.”

Part of the exhibitor roster included airlines, travel agencies, hotels and resorts such as Air Asia, Philippine Airelines, Klook,, Two Seasons and Eskaya Resort & Spa.

The Visayas region has experienced continued growth in the tourism sector.  In a tourism statistics released on the same day as the show, by DOT-7 Regional Director Shalimar Tamano, Central Visayas it showed that Central Visayas accounted for almost 3 million of the nearing 7 million tourists in 2017. He further stated that Cebu and other neighboring regions are preparing themselves and are well capable of absorbing the influx of tourists from Boracay bookings.
